A towel....

"A towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitch hiker can have....
....What the strag will think is that any man that can hitch the length and breadth of the Galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through and still know where his towel is, is clearly a man to be reckoned with."

-an excerpt from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

And I am learning, this is very true.....
whether you're traveling through America, Europe, Africa, or even the galaxy.....
...staying in a lodge, house, hotel, car,
....or even a hut in norther Namibia

I have updated my My home in Namibia tab, with a few pictures of what will be my permanent residence in Namibia! I'll be moving back up there after I swear in as Peace Corps Volunteer, in about 3 weeks!

I promise to have more stories, pictures, and videos to share....

Peace & Love,
Johanna

On my site visit!!

I know I have A LOT of catching up to do on this blog, which I plan on doing this weekend, but until then, here's a little teaser for y'all....

This week I have been visiting my permanent site and clinic, where I will be based out of for my projects - in Onamunama at the Hamukoto Wa Kapa Clinic (up north, along the Angola border - if you want to look it up on Google Earth, try searching for Onamunhama).

Here are 2 pictures of my homestead- some of the huts (I will be living in one!) and a quick snapshot of the Namibian sunset over our homestead....

I'll write more when I return to Okahandja to finish training...

Peace & Love!
Johanna
